The group was actually founded as a bar band in 1983 (with one sax player), almost 1 year to the day after John Belushi's untimely death. In the next year the group's popularity rose quickly when the boys played a Dallas festival sponsored by Adolph Coors Brewing Company, with proceeds from the event benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Subsequent shows over the years have included corporate parties, televised special events, outdoor festivals of all types and public concerts & some having attendances of up to 175,000 persons!
