Jim Blackburn, Sax is live instrumental background music for your special event. I perform on saxophone, keyboard, wind synth & flute with backing tracks recorded using real musicians. I perform jazz & pop standard favorites from times near & far.
About: Originally from Akron, Ohio, Jim is a Solo Sax /One Man Band. He performs jazz and pop standards from the Great American Songbook, along with Contemporary Smooth Jazz. . Playing music from the age of eight, Jim earned his Music Education degree from the University of Akron (Ohio). Jim has worked with a number of bands and jazz ensembles in the NE part of the US and has opened for several headline performers.



Since moving to Florida in 1996, Jim has worked as a solo act. He brings quality gear and a professional attitude, providing instrumental background music well suited for dinners, cocktail hours, restaurants, private parties, fundraisers, and corporate events, from St. Petersburg to Marco Island. With hundreds of tunes in his library and over 35 years of professional experience, guests are sure to be entertained for the entire event. Special music requests not a problem.
