About: Nearly 18 years ago, I purchased my first 35mm camera as a high school graduation present to myself. I've been shooting ever since -- university activities, family vacations, nature settings, weddings and anything that catches my eye or imagination. I won my first photography contest (grand prize) for the 1993 Cats-A-Day calendar, with a shot of our new kitten exploring spring flowers in the backyard, making the cover and January 1st image. Most recently, in 2003 I have received second prize and finalist awards with the international betterphoto.com as well as being published on web-sites and in the picture.com yearly documentary book.
