I am Derek Wilk, owner of Wilk Entertainment. Music has always inspired me at a young age. When I was six years old, I was diagnosed with Leukemia. During my treatment at the hospital, I became very inspired by all types of music. When I was released cancer-free at nine years old, I knew I wanted to be a DJ but didn't know how—every event I attended, I've always liked to ask DJ's questions. When I was old enough, I saved up to buy equipment. After that, I kept buying and buying. Now at 21 years old, I own fifty thousand dollars worth of sound and lighting equipment..
